Week 2 of The OSG Fantasy Report is Here! Week 1 was a solid week, and we look to build on that. Wash, rinse, & repeat the formula.

Quarterback Stacks

Kyler Murray vs David Carr — The Cardinals/Chargers carry the highest total of the week. Obviously we would have to look at the QBs. Kyler with Marquise Brown is a clear stack but look lower at Greg Dortch. Rondale Moore is ruled out and he should build on his 9 targets last week. On the Carr side look no further than Davante Adams. 10 receptions and 141 yards in Week 1 and gets a better matchup here. It’s also a good spot for TE Darren Waller.

Lamar Jackson — Pairing Lamar is the issue. Rashod Bateman is the #1WR at 5.5K, but Devin Duvernay caught the 2TDs week 1 (only 4 targets), plus there is Mark Andrews at TE. I wonder if the pass volume will be there to support a stack. Andrews is always the best bet. This should be a competitive game vs Miami.

Russell Wilson — I think we can play Russ if you can stomach the price. You can double stack him with Courtland Sutton and Jerry Jeudy. I’m not sold on the Houston secondary, and neither is Vegas as Denver is a 10-point home favorite.

Joe Burrow — I am going right back to Burrow -Ja’Mar Chase stacks. Tee Higgins is questionable which only gives him a boost at Dallas if he is ruled out.

Matt Stafford — As bad as Stafford looked Week 1, he gets a much better matchup here vs Atlanta at home. I’m hoping Mariota and the Atlanta offense can keep this one close to justify Stafford/Cooper Kupp stacks.

Marcus Mariota — He ran 12 times for 72 yards, was 20/33 vs a respectable Saints defense. He’s an easy pair with either Drake London at WR who is only going to get better, or Kyle Pitts.

Carson Wentz — It’s scary but at Detroit in the dome, he’s fully capable of throwing 300 yards again and supporting a stack with either Terry McLaurin, or Curtis Samuel.

Jameis Winston — He threw for 200 yards in the 4th quarter alone when the coaches unleashed the passing attack. He has three true WRs in Jarvis Landry (5K), Michael Thomas (5.8K) and Chris Olave (4.5K). It’s a revenge game vs a team who plays to stop the run and allows passing production.

Wide Receivers — Other WRs to follow that we can plug in

Tyreek Hill — The big week is coming. I like the Dolphins chances of winning here. It would have to be a result of big plays from Hill.

Michael Pittman — He’s a little banged up but should be good to go. Hard to ignore his role in the Indy offense at his price.

Amon Ra St. Brown — Every week #1WR in an offense who is going to trail a lot in games and have shootouts each and every week.

Jaylen Waddle — Back seat to Tyreek Hill, but he’s in the exact same spot.

Tee Higgins — If he’s active, he’s just as good of a play as Chase.

Christian Kirk — His price is still low and is going to continue to be Jags’ big play guy. 117 yards week 1….20.8 fantasy points and did not score.

Tyler Boyd — He will be a great play if Higgins is ruled out.

Value Plays

Zay Jones — Same spot as Kirk is in for the Jags. Should be a close game at home vs the Colts.

Jahan Dotson — Great call last week as he cashed in with 2 TDs for Washington. Could connect with Carson Wentz in stacks.

Parris Campbell — Should be opportunity behind Pittman in Indy. Alec Pierce was ruled out. One less man to compete with for targets.

Greg Dortch — He was brought up in the stacks with Kyler Murray, but I can’t stress enough how much stand-alone value he his. 9 targets at 3.5K is a free square and frees up a ton of salary.

Richie James — We are fishing here but if the 6 targets at 3.2K are a real thing he is playable. I love Dortch much more but if the salary fits, we can go here. The Giants want to play he and Shepard at WR and their WR core is very thin.

Running Back

Jonathan Taylor — No brainer. He’s catching passes, he will run in the red zone, and the price will scare many away.

Christian McCaffrey — I would not take stock into Week 1. His production should pick up. Should also be a close game, though I favor Taylor’s matchup a little better.

Saquan Barkley — Love the spot. Love the role. He’s back, and as long as he’s healthy, the Giants offense should be much improved. I like him here and like the savings away from Taylor.

Joe Mixon — Cincy should be in complete control. Bodes well for a bell cow RB like Mixon. If the passing role continues, that’s just a plus.

Nick Chubb — It’s hard to bank on RBs who see ZERO pass game work. However, it’s hard to factor in Chubb’s efficiency, and big play ability. Being a home favorite, plays in his favor.

Deandre Swift — Wash, rinse, repeat. 20+ touches, passes. In these shootouts, he’s just going to rack up fantasy points.

James Conner — Many will chase the passing game for AZ. I like Conner here. He’s getting pass game work and will see all of the red zone work.

Antonio Gibson — It’s another good spot, and if the pass game work continues, he’s a plug-n-play at 6.2K.

Cordarrelle Patterson — No RBs behind him, he clearly catches passes with his #84. If the offense is moving, he’s racking up fantasy points.

Darrelle Henderson — If he continues to dominate touches over Cam Akers, especially in this matchup, he’s simply too cheap for his role in an offense that should bounce back vs Atlanta.

Chase Edmonds — I was all over him last week and he busted. The rules state I have to go back. Same role in a game I believe they can win. If he runs hot on passes in PPR formats, he’s too cheap.

Tight End — This position can make or break your lineup. So spending too much and not getting production will flatten your lineup. However, spending up at the right spot can separate you from the field.

Mark Andrews — I’d only go here in stacks with Lamar. Going here will separate you from the field as many will spend lower.

Darren Waller — I think he can bounce back. It’s a great spot for tight ends (See Travis Kelce here week 1). The weeks highest total. Yes, Adams is going to eat targets, but Waller should be open.

Kyle Pitts — I want to be on him the week he explodes. I like the pairing with Mariota this week. Only 3 receptions last week but saw 7 targets.

TJ Hockenson — He is priced a little higher than he should be, but the potential is there.

Tyler Higbee — Saw 11 targets. The Rams need non-Kupp production somewhere.

Albert Okwuegbunam (we will call him Albert O) — He’s not my favorite, but he’s in play here for Denver.

Logan Thomas — Saw 6 targets and that volume should continue. Wentz could go for 300 yards here.

Kylen Granson — Super value play of the week at 2.6K. Last week I went with a little Mo Allie Cox, and it was Granson in the offense who saw 7 targets from Matt Ryan, a QB with a history of connecting with his TEs.

Defense — For any reason we can go to any defense. Keep in mind attacking younger QBs, bad offensive lines, and high total games that have more plays ran.

Steelers — At 2.8K at home vs Mac Jones or whomever is playing New England QB will be one of my favorite defenses.

Dolphins — 2.3K too cheap.

Bengals — 2.2K will be wildly popular vs backup-QB Cooper Rush for Dallas.

49ers — He did well week 1, but it’s still Geno Smith.

Raiders — Should get a lot of pressure on Kyler Murray with a lot of pass attempts.

Ravens — Dolphins — Either defense is playable here.
